We’re Hiring – TFAS Alumni Engagement Coordinator

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Alumni Engagement Coordinator will focus on coordinating a variety of programs and communication for alumni to stay connected to each other and TFAS. Alumni engagement programs will include volunteer opportunities, networking events and professional development activities. This position is based in Washington, D.C., and will require some domestic travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Volunteer Programs: Manage all Alumni Volunteer Programs, including opportunities to serve as mentors, speakers and discussion leaders. Recruit and track volunteers.
  • Mentoring: Facilitate the in-person TFAS Mentor Program for undergraduate and law students in Washington, D.C., including volunteer recruitment, mentor matching and events. Manage the virtual mentoring platform for alumni around the world.
  • Roundtable Dinner: Oversee the Alumni Roundtable annual event for 400 students and alumni, including securing speakers and event logistics.
  • Networking Events: Organize Alumni Networking Events in Washington, D.C., and around the country, including cities such as New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston and Dallas.
  • Industry Insider Events: Work with program staff to plan Alumni Events by Industry, including journalism, law, international affairs and public policy.
  • Alumni Outreach: Oversee Alumni Connect digital platform, content and communication to all alumni, including themed monthly emails, event promotion and volunteer recruitment. Manage new Alumni Welcome materials, data and outreach.
  • Alumni Leadership: Coordinate meetings of the Alumni Engagement Committee and manage the annual Alumni Awards program. Collaborate with other departments on related alumni activities such as continuing academic education and fundraising.
  • Student Activities: Plan student program events, seminars and conferences as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in higher education, program management, marketing, or other related fields (internships may be considered experience)
  • Strong communication, organizational and office skills
  • An interest in alumni and student programming with an emphasis on free-market education
  • A willingness to work in a team environment and independently
  • TFAS Program experience is preferred, but not required
