Site Briefings and Small Group Meetings

U.S. Congressman Trent Franks of Arizona speaks to LSI students

Site briefings are arranged each summer for LSI students to experience places of power in Washington, D.C. and hear from top policy advisors and legal professionals.

Past site briefings include:

  • U.S. Supreme Court – Briefed by Justice Antonin Scalia
  • D.C. Office of Administrative Hearings – Briefed by Judge Caryn Hines
  • U.S. Court of Appeals, D.C. Circuit – Briefed by Judge Doug Ginsburg
  • The Cato Institute – Briefed by Chairman Bob Levy
  • Department of Justice – Briefed by Suzanne Bell
  • The Heritage Foundation – Briefed by Todd Gaziano


LSI students also have the opportunity to meet with established professionals who host meetings at top organizations around Washington. These gatherings provide students the chance for personal interaction with people in their respective field, to network and to receive career advice.
