Overview

IPJ Students Before White House briefing

As participants in IPJ, students are afforded once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to visit places of power and interest located in the Washington area.

In addition to classes and internships, the following components make up the remainder of the program:

  • Site Briefings at the White House complex, State Department, Capitol Hill, the Wrold Bank and various Embassies
  • Small Group Activities to network with working journalists
  • Mentor Program with one on one meetings with working journalists, PR professionals, and Capitol Hill staffers.
  • Professional Development seminars offered throughout the summer. Includes resume and interview tips, public speaking and career guidance sessions.
  • Social Events such as Trivia Night, Potomac River Canoeing, BBQ Party, Washington Nationals Baseball game.
