As participants in IPJ, students are afforded once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to visit places of power and interest located in the Washington area.

In addition to classes and internships, the following components make up the remainder of the program:

  • Site Briefings at the White House complex, State Department, Capitol Hill, and various Embassies
  • Small Group Activities to network with working journalists
  • Mentor Program with one on one meetings with working journalists, PR professionals, and Capitol Hill staffers.
  • Social Events such as Karaoke Night, Potomac River Canoeing, BBQ Party, Washington Nationals Baseball game.

“IPJ is a great experience that gives you an insider’s look at Washington and allows you to do things you could never do on your own.”
