and restaurant scene. And minutes away by bus or subway are dozens of world-famous
monuments, historical sites, and cultural attractions.
From exhibits at the Smithsonian museums to Marine Corps concerts at the Capitol
to the spectacular Fourth of July fireworks display, Washington offers abundant
cost-free entertainment.Throughout the summer, The Fund for American Studies organizes group social events, including cookouts, museum tours, parties, and a trip to nearby Baltimore for an Orioles major league baseball game.
