Georgetown University's quiet, tree-lined campus is an oasis nestled in the heart of the busy capital city.The Georgetown University campus offers a traditional collegiate setting in one of Washington's most distinctive residential neighborhoods. Students live in furnished four-person apartments.

Fireworks explode above the Jefferson Memorial during Washington's spectacular 4th of July celebration. Just four blocks from Georgetown's campus is M Street, the heart of Washington's bustling nightlife, shopping and restaurant scene. And minutes away by bus or subway are dozens of world-famous monuments, historical sites, and cultural attractions. From exhibits at the Smithsonian museums to Marine Corps concerts at the Capitol to the spectacular Fourth of July fireworks display, Washington offers abundant cost-free entertainment.

Throughout the summer, The Fund for American Studies organizes group social events, including cookouts, museum tours, parties, and a trip to nearby Baltimore for an Orioles major league baseball game.
