"Offering students the chance to make personal connections with professors, professionals, and leaders as well as other students, the program was an excellent resource for all its participants."

A group trip to Baltimore for an Orioles baseball game is one of many recreational activities organized for students. The experience, knowledge and contacts you will gain through the Engalitcheff Institute will be valuable assets, and can increase your earning power in the job market and enhance your prospects in applying to graduate schools. Many of our alumni attribute their first job out of college to their "Fund" experience.

At first glance, the cost of the Institute may seem more than your family can afford. However, The Fund for American Studies makes every effort to make the Institute accessible and affordable to outstanding students, regardless of their financial status. Our policy is to offer as much scholarship assistance as possible.

Last year, we offered scholarships ranging from $500 - $3,500 to about half of the students who attended, with an average award of $2,000. More than $150,000 in aid will be offered for the summer 2004 program. Program costs and scholarship opportunities are outlined below.
