Lecture Series

Capital Semester students attend one of the guest lectures.

Incorporated into the Monday night internship seminar course, the guest lecture series gives students the opportunity to hear from various industry professionals in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Speakers range from policy experts to government officials, lobbyists and newspaper/magazine editors.

Speakers give first-hand accounts of the day to day life of D.C. working professionals as well how they broke into their respective fields. The lecture series serves as way for students to begin thinking of their future careers and to cultivate their professional network.
