Covering press conferences and reporting on congressional hearings are part of many internships. For approximately 35 hours a week, you will intern in a lobbying office of a major national corporation or trade association. The Institute's staff will match you with an internship that best meets your interests, level of skill, and the needs of the corporate sponsor. Internships provide students with a firsthand look at the delicate relationship between business and government. Intern responsibilities vary, but often include covering congressional hearings, conducting research, coordinating events, managing databases, and writing for a newsletter or other publication.
