Overview

2009 IPVS students planned a service project for local D.C. Youth

IPVS students make a difference in the Washington, DC community by organizing and participating in the Institute Philanthropy Project. In addition, students are afforded once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to visit places of interest located in the Washington area.

Students also look forward to All-Institute social activities, such as a Washington Nationals baseball game, a guided tour of the city's monuments and a barbecue on campus with participants from all four institutes.

“IPVS helped me re-assess how and why I feel the need to be involved with my community. It helped me realize the importance of my contributions as a volunteer or community organizer, and that every individual has the potential to create a major impact on their community.”
